Publish their content in a wide variety of formats such as articles, checklists, podcasts, videos, eBooks, books, process visuals and more. Provide consistent value that manifest itself through their unique intellectualproperty. So what are you doing to strengthen your own thought leadership ?
Yet, one of the key challenges they face and struggle with is how to take their ideas, experiences and wisdom, stored in their heads, and convert them into their intellectualproperty that manifests itself it in a variety of media formats. I work with some of the smartest individuals in the world.
Here are my key take-aways from attending the Thought Leadership Symposium, hosted and facilitated by Alan Weiss with his guest presenter, David Maister : Thought leadership, for me, means being sought after by clients and the media to help improve my clients’ businesses and live. It also means high degree of self-worth.
Assemble together several articles or your newsletter archives and you have now created your eBook or book to be published in print. Continue doing so consistently and in a variety of media formats and you have shaped your intellectualproperty, created your digital empire and strengthened your thought leadership.
For example: if one of your tactics is publishing, your action steps could be blogging daily, attracting guest contributors to your blog and site, submitting your content to be published elsewhere, get involved in podcast interviews and start writing your eBooks and books. Who do you currently know, who knows you and who should you know?
