When you deliver a successful project, do you publish a consulting casestudy about it? A consulting casestudy is a short story about a successful project that explains… The problem your client was dealing with before hiring you; your expertise and process for solving that problem; and the results your expertise and process created.
The casestudy question is a fundamental portion of any consulting interview. When it comes to evaluating casestudies, none of your other skills really matter. The bad news is that casestudy questions require a very particular way of thinking. Most casestudy questions require a quantitative answer.
When done right, casestudies are valuable marketing tools. We see quite a few casestudies that don’t do any of these things. Next time you want to create a good casestudy – one that gets read and gets results – keep these tips in mind: Tell the Right Story. Keep It Focused. And by how much?
